Stu was born on September 1st, 1985 in Mississauga Ontario. He moved to Vancouver at age 6 in 1991. Stu was raised in a very musical family; both of his parents achieved a Bachelor of Music degree from The University of Western Ontario. Stu was always interested in music. Stu began his musical journey with the saxophone in elementary school, and then discovered the guitar. Stu started a band with his high school chums at age 15. Stu is mainly self taught, his “killer” ear and unique style have been influenced by local musicians as well as big acts like Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Van Halen, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin etc... Recently, Stu has also developed his piano skills. Music consumes Stu’s life. In 2006 Stu attended the Harbourside Institute of Technology for the Audio Engineering and Music Production program. Stu has received training in the operation of industry standard programs such as: Pro Tools LE, HD, and M-Powered and is 101 and 110 certified, Logic Pro for music production, Reason, Ableton Live, BFD etc… Stu’s hobbies include writing and producing his own original material.
