I am proud to present my band Green Ocean's debut Album 'Adrift'.
It represents a few years work by myself and mainly my colleague Travis Box. We slowly assembled the pieces between full time work and the sort of trials and tribulations most folks face.
'Adrift' was written with the theme in mind of being at a bit of a loss with what to do with oneself. I found myself to be "drifting" from one place to another, one job to another for a long time in my life. I never felt like I had a good reason for continuing on, kind of just going through the motions.
Then I met a girl who held me close, made me feel safe. She makes me want to carry on even when it's hard. Sometimes she has to fight to keep me from giving up, she never gives up.
She saved me from that "drifting" period in my life. Made me feel like there was somewhere safe to go.
'Adrift' is dedicated to that girl - Robin Cramer and that's why it ends with 'Robin'.
I wasn't Adrift anymore after she came around.
